The Texas UIL (University Interscholastic League) academic competitions are designed to motivate students, challenge them to think critically, and provide opportunities to demonstrate mastery of specific skills. These contests complement the academic curriculum, fostering a passion for learning and preparing students for higher education and beyond.  

Each member of the English Team will compete in one or more of the following competitions. We will have Invitational Competitions as well as competitions on the road to the State UIL Academic Competition (District, Region, Area, then State). State Competitors may qualify for a UIL scholarship.
