Denton ISD believes that a positive parent-child relationship is the core of a healthy and productive family. Our goal is to provide reoccurring classes on child and adolescent development with parental support in hopes that it will strengthen our families

Classes are held at Fred Moore High School (815 Cross Timber Street) every Thursday evening at 6 p.m.


State Mandated Topics

The State of Texas requires that school districts develop and implement education for all students and staff regarding the mandated topics seen below. 

SEPTEMBER:  House Bill 1386 – Suicide Prevention  

OCTOBER: Alcohol & Substance Abuse Awareness & Prevention

NOVEMBER: House Bill 1942 – Bullying & Cyber-bullying Prevention

FEBRUARY: House Bill 1041 – Sexual Abuse Prevention

House Bill 121 - Relationship Violence Prevention

House Bill 1272 - Sex Trafficking Prevention

Families will be provided the option to opt out of any of the state mandated presentations. Please contact your counselor for more details.
