Tinkercad is a great site for beginning 3D design, electronics (circuitry), and coding. Students can use basic shapes and design starters to create models in 3D. Designs can be printed using a 3D printer or shared & exported into presentations or assignments.... no printer needed!
Teachers can create a classroom in Tinkercad and students sign in using the teacher's class code. Students can sign in using nicknames (which require no personal data).
Once students log in, tutorials are available to guide students through the basics of using Tinkercad to get them started.
Some great ideas for using Tinkercad include:
Designing a character from a story or from history using attributes of the character.
Create a 3D map with land features.
Create 3D shapes, fraction models, and other math manipulatives.
Design floor plans, gardens etc. for use with area & perimeter.
