Click on a clip to select it. Selected clips are indicated by an orange border around the clip.

Click and drag a clip across the timeline to reorder the clips. Other clips will automatically respond and adjust to the new placement. You’ll notice that you cannot drop a clip in the middle of another clip.

Our editing tools are located on the bottom left of the screen.

There are two ways to edit a clip:

The most versatile way is to use the scissor tool to split a clip. Move the playhead to the location you want to cut, then click the scissors icon to split the clip into two separate clips. Use this to break an interview into manageable chunks, or to insert a clip between another clip.

You can also trim the beginning or end of a clip (make the video shorter) by clicking the clip to select it, and then hovering over the beginning or end, in the orange box. Click and drag towards the middle of the clip to trim.

Select a clip and duplicate it using the Duplicate button. If you want to delete it, click on the Trash icon in the lower left.
