If you have video and photographs from many different sources, online and recorded, some of them will be different sizes. We can adjust the scale (or the size) of a video clip or photograph so that it is not zoomed in or there is not black space around the edges.

In the Timeline, select the clip you want to adjust

In the upper right menu, click the Crop & Rotate button

Under Basic > Scale, make sure “Maintain Proportions” is checked

Drag the Width or Height sliders to the right to make the video bigger, and to the left to make the video smaller

Using the Basic controls, drag the Vertical Position slider to adjust the vertical position of a clip. Drag the Horizontal Position slider to adjust the horizontal position of the clip.

Alternatively, enter specific values for both Horizontal Position and Vertical Position, and press Return.

If you’re editing the recording of a presentation, and want to show your slides off to the side:
Add each slide as an image
Make each slide smaller, and position to the side

Rotate a clip
Use the Rotation slider to rotate your video up to 180° in either direction.
Alternatively, type a positive or negative number for the rotation value, and press Return.

Adjust clip opacity
Drag the Opacity control slider, or enter an opacity value from 0 to 100%.
