The Military Affairs Community serves as the liaison between Clemson's military communities (ROTC, Student Veterans, Military Clubs, etc), and Student Government. It helps plan Military Appreciation Day events, Veterans Day Events, and other events for the military community, as well as ensuring that the military community is represented in student government. The committee is passionate about advocacy, awareness, and honoring of Clemson's rich military heritage.
Chartered in 1939, Company C-4 has a long tradition of excellence. Performing at functions throughout the nation, the drill team and color guard have distinguished themselves as an elite drill company. Over the years, Company C-4 has established an unparalleled record of achievement both locally and nationally. Although small in number, Company C-4 will always continue to strive for excellence in all it does.
The Clemson Rangers is an all-volunteer unit that is affiliated with the Army ROTC. The purpose of the club is to challenge students physically and academically, promote self-confidence, increase leadership capability, increase military knowledge and promote overall professionalism and integrity.
The Brigade Ranger Challenge is the Army ROTC Varsity Sport. Teams form early in the semester and train rigorously in order to compete in the Brigade Ranger Challenge. The mission is to challenge Cadets' mental and physical toughness and to develop leadership while fostering teamwork and esprit-de-corps. Teams participate in twelve graded events.
The Scabbard and Blade organization represents the highest military fraternity at Clemson University. The purpose of this organization is to promote interest in the military and to promote a closer relationship between the students and the military departments. Each year K-Co sponsors the annual Clemson University Scabbard and Blade Military Ball, an evening of formal dinner and dance is held in the spring of each school year.
Tiger Platoon was revived in 2000 by Army ROTC Cadet Jonathan Westbrook, a prior enlisted drill sergeant. With the help of Air Force cadets Brock Lusk and Neil Medlin, he recruited and trained the founding members of Clemson’s new Tiger Platoon. Following a brief period of inactivity, Tiger Platoon was revived in 2014 with a new mission and purpose at Clemson University.
Frontline Leadership is a ministry that provides leadership development and authentic community for ROTC cadets. Through adventure opportunities, one-on-one discipleship, and honest relationships, we teach cadets their identity, value, and purpose transcend military service. By fostering heart-level change through the tangible application of the gospel, we grow leaders whose lives are characterized by grace, strength, humility, and integrity.
