On the 16th day of July 2022, a total of six modules were discussed in a webinar where we chemical engineering students participated attentively.
WEBINAR OBJECTIVES
To inform students and consumers about the Glass Manufacturers Association of the Philippines Inc. (GMAPI)
To be able to understand the different processes involved in Glass Forming
To have a broader knowledge involving Glass Industries and its processes.
After each of these modules, an ice breaker in the form of a pop quiz is flashed onto the screen to evaluate the knowledge of each participant. More care should be taken while handling glass to prevent mishaps that could result in flaws, unlike other industries like ceramics where broken items are recycled.
The lessons we learn are ones that we may apply later when we undertake a career path at a glass manufacturing facility. This inspired me to always give my best effort and kept me motivated. By following instructions from the more experienced workers, we can gain knowledge and acquire abilities from it.
Our daily lives are made easier and better thanks to the work done by chemical engineers in this field in tandem with other disciplines, as evidenced by technological and industrial developments or product development. Because of the glass industry, other establishments, infrastructures, and vehicles in the community are continuously evolving.
