College Visits, SAT/ACT Registration Info, & Info About Scholarships & Financial Aid
COLLEGE VISITS:
Juniors and Seniors get two excused days each year to visit colleges. There is a form in guidance that must be completed and returned to us at least two school days prior to your visit. Contact Mrs. Workman for this form.
We have colleges come and visit North Side throughout the year. Visit the Important Dates page to view our slideshow with current information. To participate in these in-school visits, you must sign up prior to the visit with Mrs. Workman in guidance.
SAT & ACT Information:
You are responsible for registering for and taking the SAT or ACT! Registration links are on the document posted.
You can take either test as many times as you want. Juniors should take their first test in the spring of their Junior year.
It costs around $50 to take either test. If you receive textbook assistance you can take either test for free with a waiver 2 times during high school. To receive a SAT/ACT fee waiver, your parent or guardian needs to fill out an application (and qualify) for textbook assistance. Then contact Mrs. Workman to get a fee waiver.
Scholarships & Financial Aid:
Current Local Scholarships
The 2021-22 Lily Endowment Scholarship is due to the North Side Guidance office by September 8th! Contact Mrs. Workman if you need an application ASAP.
Get ready for your FAFSA!
The FAFSA window for 2022 graduates doesn't open until Oct. 1. But here is what you can be working on in the meantime.
Here is a checklist to keep track of your FAFSA log in info and what you need to complete it.
At North Side, we promote local and national scholarships we think may be of interest to our students.
