Reminder concerning parents in the building during regular school hours:
Dear School Community.
I just want to share a reminder with you regarding outside visitors inside our school halls during regular school hours.
Parents should drop off and pick up students from the school yard area at the start and end of day not inside the school building.
If you need to pick up your child from class early, please communicate with the teacher via Admentum so they are aware and can send the child out at the scheduled time. If it is short notice, please check in at the reception area before continuing to the classroom.
If you need to meet with the teacher to discuss your child's academics, social emotional well being, or any other related items, please communicate with the teacher via Admentum to make a scheduled appointment.

Good afternoon members of the Futuraskolan community,
I write to you today to relay the exciting news that we have an adjustment of leadership planned for the 2019-2020 school year.
One of our finest leaders, Ms Veronna Pomeroy, has graciously agreed to become the next Vice Principal of Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm.
Veronna’s competences are well known across the organization. I was personally fortunate enough to begin working with Veronna when she agreed to become my Student Care Manager after a successful run as the Vice Principal of Internationella Engelska Skolan Täby. It was during this time that I developed a profoundly deep appreciation for Veronna’s methods and manner, and I recommended her to become a Principal in our organization. Sadly for me, she assumed the role of Principal of Futuraskolan International Stockholm in 2018 and continued the excellent tradition set forth by her predecessor, Kevin Munro, helping keep Futuraskolan International Stockholm amongst the leading academic institutions in the Stockholm region.
And now Veronna will be taking her immense talents to our Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm.
Thank you Veronna for your outstanding work to date and we can’t wait to see what you achieve in your new role.
Sincerely,
Tom Callahan

Dear Parents,
This winter has been, and still is, a long and cold one! We have been rather quiet with very few communications this term, but we do want to assure you that we in the Board continuously work hard for our community and our students. With the funds we gathered from organizing and running ASEP Fall 2018 (After-school Enrichment Program) we are able to sponsor the following during Spring term:
SEK 10,000 to the Library + School's subscription to "The Day" approx SEK 5000
Replenishing old books and purchasing more books to cover all genres. With our amazing School Librarian Nancy Halen on helm we know that our donation and efforts are all converted to great experiences for our kids.
SEK 9,000 for the School Musical
This donation would cover the props, video recording and distribution of the entire program including preparations. Please note that the Musical is only for the Middle School and the video output will be shared according to the school policy.
SEK 1000 for Fritids vertical garden
Mr Troy's amazing idea to engage Fritids students in setting up a vertical garden in our school got our support right away!
Upcoming PTA supported events:
March: Faculty Appreciation Day
April: Earth Day activities
May: Workshop for faculty and Middle School students
June: Exit point for Middle School students
Our funds does not solely come from ASEP Program but also from the yearly PTA contribution of SEK 250 per family! We would like to encourage you to make your contributions if you haven't yet as this contributes to a better community for all of our kids!
We hope to see you on our next event!
Kind regards,
PTA Board
