Dear Warm Springs Community,
Happy Lunar New Year! I send my best wishes to all and am hopeful that the Year of the Dragon brings us all good fortune.
February is Black History Month. Throughout the month, Warm Springs will be recognizing and celebrating the contributions and achievements made by African Americans and recognizing their central role in U.S. History. I encourage families to continue this learning at home.
“If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”
-Martin Luther King Jr.
I want to express my unwavering gratitude to parents/guardians, families, students, and staff. Together, we have successfully navigated through the first 100 days of the school year. Every day, I am thankful for the support from the Warm Springs community. With our continued focus on academic, social-emotional, physical, behavioral, and linguistic learning, it is a true joy to watch our amazing students moving forward. Let's go Wolves!
In partnership,
Scott Iwata
Principal

We do not accept homework, projects, lunches, etc.

Donations
Our school is looking for monetary donations to help replace old/broken equipment on our school site (ie. poster maker, die cut machine, stage curtains, padding in the MUR, etc.). Every donation helps us reach our goal of providing fun and educational experiences to our students. All donations are appreciated, and all donors will be recognized on our website.
We appreciate your time and consideration, as together, we can make a difference in the lives of many students. You may donate online through My School Bucks to make a secure donation online (fees may apply) and specify “General School Donation” in the “Donate to Classroom #” section. Or, you may drop off donations in our front office on school days from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Checks may be written to FUSD/Warm Springs Elementary.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Message from the Student Support Services Department:
Dear Families and Caregivers,
We love having your children at school all school year!
This is the time of year when winter weather takes a toll on school attendance. Road conditions and rain can make it hard to get your children to school. So can illnesses such as colds, flu, fevers, earaches, and COVID-19.
These absences, even if they are excused, break the routine of daily attendance which can impact students feeling connected and engaged in learning. Please consider these steps to keep your children healthy and in school this winter.
1. Develop back up plans for getting your children to school. Check who can give your children a ride if you can’t take them, or form a “walking school bus” to walk to school with other families. [Maybe insert information on earliest time student can be dropped off and breakfast info]
2. If your children get sick or you are concerned about Covid or the flu, talk to your child’s medical provider or the school nurse for advice.
3. Stomach pain and headaches can be signs of anxiety and may not be reasons for keeping a child home. If you feel that anxiety or stress is playing a role, talk to your child’s teacher, the school nurse, counselor or your medical provider about how best to support your child.
4. Encourage children to wash their hands before and after eating and after using the restroom.
5. Encourage healthy habits such as getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, drinking fluids and getting exercise.
Thank you for partnering with us!
