The Core Support Program provides direct instruction and support in the following areas:
Planning and Goal Setting: Developing academic and personal goals while creating plans to achieve them.
Setting Priorities and Time Management: Learning to manage assignments, meet deadlines, and use class time effectively.
Organization: Building systems for organizing materials, assignments, and school responsibilities.
Self-Monitoring, Self-Assessment, and Self-Advocacy: Reflecting on learning, monitoring progress, identifying strengths and areas for growth, and confidently communicating learning needs.
Memory, Study Skills, and Test-Taking Strategies: Strengthening skills for storing and recalling information, preparing for assessments, and demonstrating learning.
Academic Support: Reinforcing concepts and developing skills in Reading and Language Arts, Mathematics, History, and Science through individualized support, pre-teaching, and review.
Transition Planning: Preparing students for success in middle school, high school, and beyond by developing executive functioning, decision-making, problem-solving, and independent living skills.
