What is the Green Library Club?
It's a group of 4th and 5th grade students who help me in the library.
I'd like to have 4 - 5 student helpers every my workday. (Students help one day a week at lunch recess.) First, you'll learn how to shelve books, so you can not only help me shelve books but also help other students find books. You'll eventually help me make bookmarks, decorate a bulletin board, set up the Book Fair, put call #s on spines, etc. We'll have monthly lunch meetings in the library. (Yes, you get to eat in the library!)
Here's a Green Library Club Application Form. (If you can't print the form at home, come to the library and tell me the secret word. Today's secret word is "Armadillo".) This is your (possible) first job application form. I'd like to see how well you follow directions, how neat you do the tasks, and how your hand writing is. (I know some of you haven't learned decimal numbers yet, so please don't worry. Just do your best BY YOURSELF.)
Application will start after the library orientation. It's due at 10:15 am on Friday, September 12th. Don't wait until the last moment. I will announce who made it and their shift the following week.Â
