Book Fair

2024 Spring Book Fair!

Book Fair is also a Library Fundraiser. However, even though I need money for more books and supplies, I'm not doing the Book Fair for money. It's just too much work. I'm doing this to promote reading. So, please keep sharing your love of reading with your child.

eWallet

We’re accepting Book Fair eWallet, a digital payment option for students. I highly recommend it. This is a safe, cash-free way to shop for your child (and easiest & fastest way for me). You can create a free account at Green Elementary Online Book Fair Page.

Here's how it works

You created an account for your child and put $20. Your child spent $12. You'll be charged only  $12, not $20.

Here's the tricky part. Remaining balance stays in your child's account for next Scholastic Book Fair. (You're supposed to get a monthly email from Scholastic to remind you of the eWallet balance.) So, for the next Book Fair, if you put $20 again, your child has $28 to spend.  

(UPDATE)

The remaining funds from the previous Book Fair turned into a Scholastic eGift Card. It WON'T automatically come back to the eWallet like before. You can use the Scholastic eGift Card to fund your child's eWallet. It's a day before the Fair, and I just learned this?!

Tax

Please don't forget to include the amount of sales tax (10.25%). It breaks my heart every time I have to say, "Sorry, you don't have enough for tax."

No returns

No returns just because you don't approve what your child bought. Please discuss with your child what's ok (or not ok) to buy before the Fair. Let this be a part of the learning experience.

Bags

Please bring your own bags. Scholastic doesn't give us plastic bags anymore. It might be a little inconvenient, but it's good for the environment.
