Students of the Month

Get to Know the Students of the Month for October!

By Chanel Keovoravongsa and Joseph Candelaria

Poston Butte’s Students of the Month are Brayden Lantz and Janice Quintana, and The Bronco Corner decided to interview them! Here are their responses:

Who do you think were the teachers that nominated you for Student of the Month?

B: Either Ms. Criswell, Mrs. Rust, or Mrs. Kully.

J: I have no clue who nominated me.

Which class do you think you work the hardest in?

B: Definitely Biotechnology.

J: I work the hardest in English Class.

How do you feel about being Student of the Month?

B: Month of the Student / Very Honored.

J: I feel honored and happy that I got Student of the Month.

Do you think you deserved the title?

B: No, and I believe that some of my friends should have been instead.

J: I don’t want to sound stuck-up, but I do think I deserve it because I have tried to do my best in all of my classes.

What is your favorite class?

B: Biotechnology.

J: My favorite class would have to be Spanish.

What is your least favorite class?

B: Biotechnology.

J: My least favorite class would have to be Geometry.

How have your friends impacted your school life? Do you think they’ve contributed to how you perform as a student?

B: My friends are great. Lola is great, Arianna probably hates me (jokingly/friendly), Tina and I are connected, and Chanel is great too.

J: Most of my friends have helped me get my work done in school, although there are some friends that distract me, but I will always make sure that I can get back on track.

Lastly, Janice Quintana was also asked what she would like every student at Poston Butte to know, and this is what she said:

J: I would like every student at Poston to know how privileged we are to have free school, and we should take advantage of that because not all countries have those kinds of opportunities.
