Torrent Duck is reproducing well

From our most recent monitoring visit to La Hondura Canyon Nature Reserve (25-27 /Jan, 2021), we are happy to inform that Torrent Duck (Merganetta armata) is reproducing well in our reserve, making a positive use of River Huertas and, in turn, giving us a fantastic indicator of a good-quality ecosystem and waters for them.

This time, we spotted a couple with 2 baby ducklings, and a kilometer downstream on River Huertas we spotted an adult male too. A few months ago it was a family with 4 baby ducklings, and short before it was a couple with a grown-up paw.
