(Updated 12/16/21)
Beginning in January of 2022, FCSD will offer free COVID testing for symptomatic students and staff with the goal of getting students back to learning and staff back to work as soon as possible when they are experiencing symptoms. If staff or students have a negative test, they can return to work or school once their symptoms are resolving.
All testing will occur at our Lanigan Elementary testing location.
The test will be the ID Now, which is a minimally invasive nasal swab test. Results will be available the same day.
Testing will be by appointment only. Appointments must be made through the school nurses' offices or by contacting the COVID Testing Center.
Parent/guardian consent will be required. Students under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Individuals being tested must remain in their vehicle in the designated parking spaces outside the testing center. Testing staff will come to the car to complete the testing.
More information will be shared with families following the holiday break about how to access testing.
Tentative schedule for symptomatic testing:
Mondays and Fridays: 11:30-1:30 and 2:30-5:15
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 11:30-1:30 and 1:30-2:30
Symptomatic COVID Testing in the FCSD (Updated 11/18/21)
The Fulton City School District is in the process of creating a COVID testing site to assist students and staff to get free, convenient, local COVID tests when they are experiencing symptoms. We will offer the ID Now, a rapid molecular diagnostic test. We are currently awaiting the arrival of testing supplies. It is our hope that this testing program will get students and staff who have symptoms, but are not COVID positive, back to school and work more quickly. As soon as testing supplies arrive, we will share details about accessing this testing site.

Currently Oswego County is offering free testing for symptomatic Oswego County PK-12 school students and staff at the Pulaski Health Center from 2:00-5:00 pm on weekdays. Those needing testing are required to register at a school staff/student specific registration link. It is not a public link. If you need to access this testing, please contact your child's school nurse to register. Space is limited. Those being tested will drive up to be swabbed (less invasive nasal swab) and families will be called with results within 24 hours.
In addition, we recognize that getting your child tested for COVID if they have had symptoms or are sick can be a time-consuming process. We want to assist families in getting students tested and back to school as soon as possible. The FCSD is in the process of securing testing equipment and materials to provide testing for symptomatic students and staff in our district. We hope this will help get everyone back to learning sooner. More details will be coming soon.
