Preparing educatoRs to Infuse Statistics, Math with AI
A Google.org-funded initiative at California State University, Fullerton
Project PRISM (Preparing EducatoRs to Infuse Statistics, Math, Computer Science, & AI) is a new two-year initiative at California State University, Fullerton, supported by a $500,000 gift from Google.org. We bring together TK-12 educators, future teachers, and university faculty to build meaningful AI literacy through an equity-centered lens.
By co-designing classroom-ready materials and piloting innovative activities, PRISM Fellows will the charge in bringing data science and AI meaningfully into the modern STEM teaching and learning.
“Preparing future teachers in AI and data science literacy ensures they can help students critically understand how to ethically use AI, recognize bias, and engage as thoughtful innovators and producers of knowledge,” - Dr. Charles E. Flowers Jr.
