We are seeking classroom TK-12 teachers, CSUF preservice teachers (both undergraduate and credential candidates), and CSUF STEM-Ed faculty who prepare future teachers
Yes! During the three day summer workshop, we will have approximately local classroom teachers (including from elementary, middle, and high school settings), pre-service teachers (those currently in or who plan to begin a credential program soon), and CSUF faculty.
Preservice teachers will be paired up with a PRISM classroom teacher so that they can observe a task or lesson in a TK-12 classroom.
Yes, all participants must either be a current CSUF student (either undergraduate or credential program) or accepted in to a CSUF credential program for the six workshop dates. Please provide your CWID while applying.
Yes, all participants must either be in a STEM credential program (either multiple subjects or single subject), accepted into a STEM credential program, or majoring in a credential preparation program with plans to earn a teaching credential after completing a bachelor's degree.
No. Participants must be present for all six workshops to get the stipend associated with full participation in PRISM.
PRISM will provide funding for a substitute teacher for classroom teachers for each of the three three-hour AI Teaching Clinics.
At this moment, we will ask participants to bring a laptop (or tablet) to each workshop day. All other supplies will be provided (e.g. handouts).
We plan to notify participants by April 15th, 2026 for the first cohort.
Yes! If this summer does not work for you, please come back again in early 2027 to apply for Summer 2027.
