San Antonio Area Foundation Scholarships - Local Scholarship

The San Antonio Area Foundation has more than 100 scholarship funds available for graduating high school students with criteria based on the fund advisor's interest. Some scholarships fund a student's education in a specific area of study, like health care or engineering. San Antonio Chapter-Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Scholarship -Local Scholarship

The San Antonio Chapter-Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Scholarship is open to high school seniors. Selection based on: academic achievements, extracurricular activities, community service, relative financial need, recommendation and 2 essays. Essay 1: "The Tuskegee Airmen" which reflects an overview of their history and how their experience has impacted the applicant personally. Essay 2: two page personal essay containing: a biographical sketch, educational aspirations, career goals and an explanation of why financial aid is essential.
Irene S. Wischer Education Foundation Scholarship - Local Scholarship

Applicant must be a US citizen, legal TX resident for 12 consecutive months prior to submission, plan to enroll college full time, good character ("Christians who attend church regularly"), academic potential, and financial need.
Scholarships for Military Children -Local Scholarship

Amount: $2,000
This scholarship is funded through contributions awarded to each Commissary location. Applicants must possess a valid ID card and parent serves or has served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard. Applicant must plan to enroll in an accredited US college in the fall and must have a GPA of 3.0. Selection is based on academic achievement, participation in school, community, volunteer activities, work experience, and essay.
Rocco C. Caffarelli Scholarship - Local Scholarship

Applicant must be a young man, high school senior, TX resident for 12 consecutive months prior to submission, demonstrate good character, academic ability, financial need, and plan to attend a community or university in Texas.
Baumberger Endowment Scholarship - Local Scholarship

Amount: $5,000 per year
The Baumberger Endowment Scholarship is for a graduating senior within in Bexar County who has resided in Texas for at least 10 years (or Texas is home of record for 10 years), achieve SAT score of 1080 or ACT score of 22, rank in top 50% of senior class, unable to attend college without financial assistance, plan to attend a state-supported or non-denominational college or university within Texas, and be of good character.
Rosie L. Pullin Scholarship Fund - Local Scholarship

The Rosie L. Pullin Scholarship is for a high school senior with a GPA of 3.0 who plans to attend an accredited college. Provide official transcript, signed community service or employment letter of recommendation, high school recommendation letter, typed essay (maximum 650 words) and color photo.

Blue Cares Scholarship - Local Scholarship

High School seniors attending an accredited college or university, GPA: 3.3 (85), official transcript and essay: why should you be selected as a scholarship recipient, future goals, and how life experiences influenced chosen career path. Essay should be typed, no longer than 2 pages, Times New Roman, font size 12, and double spaced with 1 inch margins.
San Antonio A&M Club Foundation Scholarship - Local Scholarship

The San Antonio A&M Club Foundation Scholarship is for high school senior graduate of a Bexar County high school and who has been unconditionally accepted to TX A&M College Station or Galveston. Application includes 250 typed essay, resume, 2 recommendation letters, official transcript,and copy of SAT or ACT exam scores.
Norman Vestal Memorial Rotary Scholarship - Local Scholarship

The Rotary Club of San Antonio will grant 5 scholarships to high school seniors from Bexar County who plan a career in Agrilife (to include agribusiness). Student must have a 2.5 GPA or higher, can not be the child or grandchild of a Rotarian, must plan to attend an accredited college or university.

Students who reside in Bexar County or one of the 7 surrounding counties.
