For students who competed in UIL athletics, music, and academic events. Requirements: must be a current Texas high school senior with a minimum 3.3 GPA, have participated in a UIL competition as a high school student and have been active in community service programs or events. Current GPA, Number of Community Service Hours in the last 12 months, Community Service Verification Letters to document the number of hours submitted, recommendation letter, a short essay (500 words or less) on the topic: "What does Community mean to you?"
Blue Cares Scholarship - Local Scholarship
Due: February 11
Amount: $1,000 to $2,500 (up to 10 awards given)
High School seniors attending an accredited college or university, GPA: 3.3 (85), official transcript and essay: why should you be selected as a scholarship recipient, future goals, and how life experiences influenced chosen career path. Essay should be typed, no longer than 2 pages, Times New Roman, font size 12, and double spaced with 1 inch margins.
Baumberger Endowment Scholarship - Local Scholarship
Due: February 15
Amount: $5,000 per year
The Baumberger Endowment Scholarship is for a graduating senior within in Bexar County who has resided in Texas for at least 10 years (or Texas is home of record for 10 years), rank in top 50% of senior class, SAT (1080) or ACT (22), unable to attend college without financial assistance, plan to attend a state-supported or non-denominational college or university within Texas, and be of good character.

Amount: $500 to $5,000
The HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a university degree. Scholarships are available, on a competitive basis and based on Hispanic heritage, 3.0 GPA, and FAFSA completion. 10,000 scholars are selected annually
Scholarships for Military Children - Local Scholarship
Due: February 17
Amount: $2,000
This scholarship is funded through contributions awarded to each Commissary. Applicants must possess a valid ID card and parent serves or has served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard. Applicant must plan to enroll in an accredited US college in the fall and must have a GPA of 3.0. Selection is based on academic achievement, participation in school, community, volunteer activities, work experience, and essay.

The Heroes' Legacy Scholarship is for dependents of military members who have died or become disabled through active military service.
San Antonio Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission Scholarship - Local Scholarship

The San Antonio MLK, Jr. Commission Scholarship is for a graduating senior in Bexar County who plans to attend a 2 year or 4 year institution or trade school. Include 2 recommendation letters, essay, and official transcript.
