What is the role of a parent when supporting their student athlete?

Parent play a very big role in an athletes career. It is very crucial for parents of athletes to be present because most athletes depend on their parents for confidence.Confidence is also key to playing a sport.Parents can provide that for a student athlete.

Is there too much focus put on winning in sports?

There is a lot of emphasis put on winning games in sports.Sometimes, it can be too much for the players to handle.It can also take the focus off of the real goal.The goal is to grab attention from other schools and potentially get the chance at playing professionally.It can also make some players want to stop playing their sports.

Sometimes, focusing on winning so much can effect a player mentally.This is because they are always worrying if they would win or not.I think that people should not focus on winning and focus on the players future.These are my thoughts on how much emphasis is put on winning in sports.

What are the major challenges of being a student athlete?

There are many challenges to being a student athlete.You have to succeed in class and on the field or court.Sometimes,it can get to be a lot mentally on the students.It can also be a lot physically on a student.Sometimes,student athletes don't get much sleep due to having practice and coming home and having to study for test and quizzes that might occur the next day.So, these are so of the challenges that student athletes face.

Another challenge they might face is not being able to spend much time with their family.Some athletes are very family driven and if they are always practicing then they don't have the time for that.So, it sometimes leads to them having no motivation to do things.

There are those who say that female athletes have it more difficult then men.

Most sports that I have seen are made for men. I rarely ever see any sports made for women. I think that the sports are equal in difficulty. I don't think that any girl could say that they could play a guys sport but, I also think that no guy could say that they can play a girls sport.Some sports are made for men and women. In my opinion they are equal in difficulty. So,I say that all sports men or women are equal in difficulty.

What holds a special meaning to me???

My grandmother and her home will always hold a special place in my heart.My grandmother helped me through everything in life.She also taught me some very valuable lessons about life.She also taught me how to not let anyone steal my joy.When I was smaller I would always get upset about the smallest things but, after hearing her say this so many times I don't get upset about anything.Her house always holds a special meaning.Her house was the place that you could relax and get things off of your mind.It was also a place that the whole family could come to so that we can have a kickback.This is all of the things that hold a very special meaning to me.

Who influences me?

There are many people that have influenced me.My biggest influence is my mother.My mother has always taught me how to hole myself and to always do my best.She also influenced me to start doing band.Band was something I always looked at as being unusual and something that I would never do.When my mother made me try band I realized that all of the things that I said before were not true.I also realized how much love I really had for music.This is my biggest influence in what I do.

My passion

I was always very passionate in everything that I did.It did not matter if the task was big or small but,there is only one thing that I am more passionate.I am the most passionate about Marching Band.The reason I'm so passionate is because I never saw myself joining the band.I am also passionate about it because of my mother's father.I never got to meet him but my mom always told he wanted someone in the family to be able to play instruments.So,this is why I'm so passionate about marching band.

Importance of sports media

Media plays a big role in sports.Media brings more attention to the sport that you play.It can also bring sponsors to your school or yourself.If your team is really good then you will get a lot of those and you will also get a much bigger crowd just to see the team.It can also bring attention to your sports events and fundraiser.

For example,The NBA uses a lot of media.It brings a lot of attention to the sport.It also brings many sponsors to the players.It also brings them opportunities to play in movies and TV shows.This shows that media gives people many opportunities for many different things.

In conclusion,This is why the media is so important and we need it in all sports.
