Hi, My name is Cameron Muldrow I was born here in Florence,South Carolina.I'm a Junior Here at Wilson High School. Here at Wilson I am very active, being the class president, in the IB program , on the basketball team, also doing many other clubs here at Wilson. During my free time I like to read, play video games, and watch podcast. In the future if I am not able to play basketball in college. I plan on going to medical school or dental school to become anesthesiologist or orthodontist.
Winning is something everyone loves. No matter if it's winning a game or just winning in life; however in sports this best thing about it is winning. With sports a lot of people have arguments about being the GOAT but most people emphasize that winning is one of the big issue.
Winning has it's pros and cons: first off when your team is winning everyone is with you and congratulating you; but the second you lose people are ready to to talk bad about you and the team and the things that you are bad at. An example would be when the basketball lost to Hartsville lots of people were saying that we would never be good a again and things of that nature. So I go on to say that winning is something that everyone expects but losing cause fans to degrades the athlete's confidence.
Being an athlete is very hard; having to workout and dedicate time to becoming a great athlete. Adding a student to being an athlete can cause even more problems and stress. With these he are some of the challenges that you can have just by being a student athlete.
First off comes managing your time because you have to learn to balance practice and your school work which could take a lot of time. Also comes trying to find time for yourself; which could be very hard because its like you have to live two lives at once being an athlete and trying to bee a great student. You find yourself not having enough time to do some of the thing that you like outside of your sport.
Sports Illustrated Magazines
All sports are extremely difficult no matter the gender; however, the fans, who expects the athletes to do big things ; the media , who may portray these athletes as someone they're not; and many other things. In my opinion I feel as if it neither more difficult or less difficult for Females when it comes to skills and here's why.
To start off sports that are multi gender sports have commendations. For example men basketballs are bigger than women's basketball. Because statistically male hands are bigger than female hands , In softball the field is smaller and the balls are bigger because statistically men are physically stronger than men. In these examples it shows that that when it come to skill the sport gives commendations to thing that the other gender can't do.
In some cases I do agree to a certain instant. This being when it comes to the lifestyle that the athletes live outside of their sport. Like pay and getting advertising for the sport; this can be quite difficult for the females because they could feel as if they aren't people who enjoy watching them play.
Different places in the world hold special meaning to a variety of people. Places including a church, school, and gym can be places that hold meaning to people. However for me that is my room and here is why.
To start in my room is a place where I can go and wind down from my long and stressful days. Furthermore in my room include things I enjoy doing including: my game , my TV , and books. With my room also comes peace because most of the time I by myself doing the things that I love to do. Last reason would be my bed because something that I really value is my sleep.
Throughout my sixteen years on earth an multitude of people have influence me. Their impact could have been either good or bad. But with maturity I started to realize that the biggest impact was probably in my life since the day I took my first breath in this world, my mom is that person.
Some people may think that this is very cliche but, my mom is someone who taught me how to fight life head on. besides my mom taught me a lot on how to smile even if things aren't necessarily going my way. This helped me a lot during school because some people can be very rude. Its lots of stuff that my mom does throughout my life and I wouldn't trade her for anyone else in the world.
Growing up and as I continue to grow up my passion changes as I continue to find myself and the person that I am. Obviously as a student athlete , sports and fitness is something that will always and forever be a passion of mine. But also as I start to get older I start to realize that there is more to life than just being an athlete, which is where I start to become more of a nerd in my own way. After much time of being that smart kid on my sports team I started to embrace the fact that I was smart instead of neglecting it. Science is something that I always loved but it is not until I got into high school that I really started to love it. Because it gives me an a adrenaline rush.So even though basketball will always be a passion of mine, science is something that I have grown to really love.
Media in Sports is something that became very valuable to players over time. Allowing more opportunity for the player to reaching coaches that may be further away. Exposure also comes with benefits of Media, as player post thing or there socials like pictures, mix tapes, or highlights these player get to put there name out in the sports world more than it already is .Another benefit that comes with media is endorsements, Using social media people are able to build up there brand as an Athlete making a good name for there self. This could then lead to brands such as Nike and Gatorade to reach out to the athletes to promote their brand for money. Using social media helps with connecting with fans across the globe allowing everyone to experience the life of an athlete
