Competitive Cheer
Competitive Cheer
Description
Competitive cheer is a team sport where each team member works together to perform a 2 minute and 15 second routine. The routine consists of tumbling, dancing, stunting, and jumps. While competing, there must be no more than 24 people on the mat, or points will be deducted from the teams score. The routine is scored by 5-12 judges, specifically looking for all of the incorrect things to take points off of the teams score. Each team starts with 300 points and goes lower as points are deducted. Whichever team has the most points wins the competition.
