Scholarship Timeline
Once the college application process is complete (roughly around February), you should begin applying for scholarships! This process can continue through the remainder of the school year.
Scholarship Applications
Below you will find a list of local and national scholarships available to high school seniors. This spreadsheet is regularly updated to reflect the most current scholarships that are available.
1) Use the spreadsheet below to identify the scholarships that you are eligible for under the "Application Criteria" category.
2) Your counselor is happy to answer any questions that you have, but remember that it is YOUR job to identify and apply for scholarships.
SCHOLARSHIP RESOURCES
The Frontier Financial Aid Form is due mid-April to the Guidance Office. Completion of the FFAF form will allow students to be eligible for certain local scholarships (not listed above). Students will find out on Class Night if they have received any of these scholarships.
The John and Abigail Adams Scholarship provides tuition credit for up to eight semesters of undergraduate education at a Massachusetts state college or university. Students qualify for the Adams Scholarship by 1) scoring at the Advanced level on the grade 10 MCAS test in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, or Science and Technology/Engineering and Proficient or higher in the other two subject tests and 2) having a combined score that places them in the top 25% of students in their district.
There is NO application process. Students will be notified by letter if they have received the Adams Scholarship.
The Stanley Z. Koplik Certificate of Mastery provides a credit toward tuition at Massachusetts public colleges and universities. Students qualify for the Koplik by earning the score of "Exceeding Expectations" on one test and earning the score of "Meeting Expectations" on the remaining tests. Students will be notified by letter if they are eligible for the Koplik.
Unlike the Adams, students eligible for the Koplik are required to submit an application with additional academic materials containing AP Scores. In order to receive the Koplik, you must have taken at least one AP class and scored a 3 or higher. Please reach out to your counselor to see if you are eligible.
Please Note: While a student may receive both the Adams Scholarship and the Koplik Certificate, only one may be used to waive tuition.
