Loom: what holds your strings while you weave. Can be any size or material. Cardboard, wooden frames, sticks.
Warp: the vertical strings on your loom. These are the strings the you go over and under while weaving.
Weft: the strings that you weave under and over the warp threads. These create the colors, patterns and textures of your weaving.
Things to consider before you start a weaving:
What sized loom do I need?
What design to you plan to weave? A cartoon (sketch) can help!
How will you warp your loom (both sides or only one?)
Will you work from the bottom up or from the top down?
Good if you are worried your notches may not hold the warp string.
Good if you don't want to tie as many knots at the end of your project.
