After School Productions
Students: Are you hoping to do some extra performing this year? Then our after school drama program could be for you! We run two different shows through our school year. Here is the information for our first show.
Come join us for our main stage production, Pirates Past Noon KIDS! We are looking for actors, singers, dancers, and technical crew to help tell the Magic Tree House story on our stage. There are several ways to participate:
Join us as a BEGINNING ACTOR. This is for grades 1-2. This crew will practice 1 time a week from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm and then join our older actors at the end of our process. Rehearsals: December 3, 10, 17; January 7, 14, 21, 28; February 4, 11, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26; & March 2, 3. The last two weeks rehearsals will run from 3:30-6 pm. Students will perform in 2 shows March 4, 5, 6, or 7.
We will also be looking for STUDENT DIRECTORS in 5th and 4th grades who wish to help our beginning actor crew! They will meet on the same days and times as our young actors.
Join us as an INTERMEDIATE ACTOR. This is for grades 3-5. This crew will practice 2 times a week from 3:30-4:30 pm. Rehearsals: November 11, 13, 18, 20; December 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18; January 6, 8, 13, 15, 22, 27, 29; February 3, 5, 10, 12, 19, 24, 26; & March 2, 3. Most rehearsals will run 3:30 pm-4:30 pm. The last two weeks rehearsals will run from 3:30-6 pm. Students will perform in 2 shows March 4, 5, 6, or 7. Students that are intermediate actors may have lines, but can join the production without having to speak or sing individually.
Join us as a LEAD ACTOR. This is for grades 3-5. Lead actors need availability during both intermediate and introductory actor days until 5:30 pm. Not all rehearsals will go this long and actors will be given a schedule so parents can set up pick up times. Join us as TECH CREW. This is for fifth grade students wishing to help create our set, run lighting, and sound. We will meet on January 10, 17 & February 7, 14, 28 from 8 am to 11 am. Tech will attend rehearsals: February 18, 19, 24, 26 from 3:30-6:00 pm & March 2- 3 from 3:30-6 pm. Tech attends all shows March 4, 5, 6, & 7.
Please note: Check your calendar before signing up. Students are only allowed 2 absences. Registration will open on November 1st at 7 pm!
