Profile on Chris “Chef” Harris
I was sitting in the first period when Chris "Chef" Harris walked in. I asked him what inspired him to do football, and he said that in his freshman year, Wes Wadsworth had encouraged him to play when Wes was still teaching P. E. “He said that I was a ‘try hard,’” Chris rememberd. “He tells us to be better, and that he believes in us.” Chris was in freshman year of high school when he started. His favorite memory of starting football was when he was first put in to play defense. Chris said he wants to go to University of Oregon and wants to play football for the team because he likes the uniforms, especially in October when it has pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. Chris is in love with football. He said it is very heart-warming and harsh. He plays tight end. At the beginning, I was nervous to talk to him because I watched the football games and the players were tall and kind of scary. When he walked in for the interview, I thought he was a sophomore, but turns out he was a senior. It made me look forward to some day when a little junior high kid will be a little intimidated and impressed by me.
