Going to Hawaii
This will be my first time on a plane. It’s a six-hour flight to Maui and back. I am a bit scared and nervous, but I bet it is going to be fun. The first thing I am going to do is ziplining over the top of a jungle, go snorkeling with tropical fish, drink out of a coconut with an umbrella and a straw in it, go to a luau and try the pork, swim, and take the road to Hana. I am a little nervous about the plane crashing and getting stuck in the woods like the book Hatchet where Brian gets stuck in the forest. Of course, I won’t be flying over forest; I’ll be flying over water, and I would sink and run out of air because I can’t hold my breath for a long time. Still, I’m excited to go, and I will report more when I get to Hawaii. Since this is my first big trip, I’m worried about packing all the right stuff for an entire week. Of course, I’m interested in learning the original Hawaiian language, ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, so that I can have a little conversation outside of the regular English.
