Welcome to 5th Grade!

My name is Anna Ickes and I am one of the fifth grade teachers this year. I am so excited for this 22-23 school year! This is my fourth year teaching and my third year at Shawnee Trail. I will be teaching Math. 

I grew up in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I attended Auburn University where I got my Bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I taught second grade for one year in Alabama before moving to Texas in Summer 2021. I am an avid reader, enjoy taking art classes, and traveling. I am also known for my love of granola bars.
