5th Grade Science/Social Studies
Welcome to 5th grade! My name is Pepper Hopp and I will be one of the 5th grade teachers for the 23-24 school year! This year will be my first year teaching at Shawnee Trail! I have been teaching for 10 years and teaching 5th grade for 4 years. This year I will be teaching Science and Social Studies. My partner teachers, Ms. Holcomb, will be teaching Reading and Writing, and Ms. Ickes will be teaching Math.
A little about me! I am originally from Lubbock, TX! I graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's in Human Development, and a master's in Elementary Education (go Raiders!). My husband Garrett and I have been married for 17 years and we have a very active 4 year old son named David. We have an Australian Shepherd mix puppy dog named Blue, and a sassy cat named Georgia. I am an avid reader, love watching movies and college football, and riding roller coasters! I can’t wait to see what this year will bring!
