Frisco ISD is committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. The district implements the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP), a research-based initiative proven to reduce bullying in schools. OBPP addresses bullying at the schoolwide, classroom, individual, and community levels, aiming to improve peer relations and make schools safer and more positive places for students to learn and develop.Â
Key Components of OBPP:
Schoolwide Efforts: Training for staff, establishment of a bullying prevention committee, and implementation of anti-bullying rules.
Classroom Activities: Class meetings to discuss bullying, teaching of anti-bullying rules, and positive behavior reinforcement.
Individual Interventions: Addressing bullying behaviors through appropriate consequences and support for both victims and perpetrators.
