Frisco ISD's Crisis Response resources provide comprehensive support for students and staff during emotional or traumatic events. The district's Crisis and Response Team, coordinated by the Managing Director of Guidance and Counseling, includes campus counselors, Student Support Coordinators, and the Safe Schools Coordinator. This team is trained to respond to students exhibiting atypical behaviors or emotions, offer referrals for additional support, and assist campus teams in communicating with students, staff, and families during crises.
If a student is struggling with trauma, please reach out to your campus counselor or counselor in training, parksh@friscoisd.org or meekssh@friscoisd.org. They will collaborate with you to find additional resources and access how the district can support the student.
Frisco ISD provides comprehensive suicide prevention resources to support students, families, and staff. The district emphasizes the importance of recognizing verbal, behavioral, and situational cues that may indicate suicidal thoughts. Educational materials are available to help identify these signs and respond appropriately. The district also offers presentations on suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

Frisco ISD's Digital Citizenship program equips students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the online world responsibly and ethically. The curriculum focuses on key areas such as self-image and identity, relationships and communication, and cyberbullying and digital drama. Students learn to understand the impact of their online presence, communicate effectively and respectfully in digital spaces, and recognize and address issues like cyberbullying. The program also provides definitions and guidance on terms like hate speech, bystander, upstander, and escalation, helping students develop a comprehensive understanding of digital interactions. Additionally, the district offers resources for parents and educators to support students in becoming responsible digital citizens.
