Counselor-in-Training Mission Statement
As a counselor in training, my mission is to develop the knowledge, skills, and professional identity necessary to support the social, emotional, and academic growth of all students. I strive to create inclusive, supportive environments that empower students to reach their potential and prepare them to be successful, future-ready members of their communities.
Counselor-in-Training Vision Statement
My vision is to become a compassionate, competent, and culturally responsive school counselor who fosters care, capability, and connection among students. I aim to help students build resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose so they can thrive in school and make a positive impact in their communities.
My Role
My role is to support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students through a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program. I collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community partners to advocate for equity, promote student well-being, and remove barriers to learning. I strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, capable, and connected.
My Counseling Philosophy
My counseling philosophy is grounded in the belief that all students can learn and succeed when given the right supports and opportunities. I view the counselor’s role as both proactive and responsive by addressing immediate student needs while also teaching skills that promote resilience, self-awareness, and positive decision-making. I believe in fostering strong relationships, celebrating diversity, and empowering students to become confident, compassionate, and future-ready individuals who contribute positively to their communities.
