We are so excited to invite you to the 10th Annual Lake Murray Orchestra Camp! We have had so many people inquiring about camp! The camp continues to be an awesome learning opportunity every year for the students!
The Lake Murray State Resort is located a few miles outside of Ardmore, Oklahoma. It is only two hours straight north of Dallas, Texas! The lake and its surroundings are beautiful with many opportunities for outdoor activities. Lake Murray is a historical beauty, and we are happy to have our camp here again. The brand-new Lake Murray Lodge is the perfect backdrop for our learning and for our final concert.
What will campers do? Master classes are offered on string instruments by level. Students who will be in 4-12 grade next year are welcome to attend. There is a high school orchestra group and two middle school/ elementary groups. Last year we had around 200 students on violin, viola, cello, bass, and harp. Classes are offered in technique, music history, music theory, and vibrato. Other optional activities for campers include: swimming, hiking, outdoor sports, fishing, horseback riding, movies, s’mores, crafts, jewelry making, and a camp dance! The end of the concert is celebrated with a grand finale concert held at the Lake Murray Lodge!

University of Texas at Arlington Strings Camp
University of Texas at Arlington Strings Camp
A fun and enriching curriculum of string orchestra rehearsals, sectionals, electives, All-State Orchestra masterclasses and electives will be taught by outstanding high school and junior high/middle school orchestra directors from across the state. Students will participate in one of six string orchestras based on an audition and perform a final concert on the last evening. All students will audition for placement in one of six orchestras. Live auditions will be held on Sunday before camp begins. The camp is open to students who have had at least one year of instruction on a string instrument from sixth to twelfth grade. Audition music will be posted on June 6th. Students entering 7th grade in the fall of 2026 and older, have the option to commute or stay in the dorms! Roommate requests are accepted.

The orchestra teachers of Frisco ISD are excited to announce the dates of the 2026 Frisco ISD Summer Orchestra Camp. This camp is for current 6th and 7th grade (fall 2026 7th & 8th grade) orchestra students in Frisco ISD and will be aimed towards playing fun music, meeting new friends across the district, and getting back into playing shape. Your student also will have the opportunity to work with expert teachers and professional musicians & educators. Please see the information below for more details!

How do I sign up?
Fill out the registration Google Form found in our Frisco ISD Summer Orchestra Camp website from March 23-April 12, 2026.
Pay for the camp on OnlineSchoolFees during the payment window (April 20-May 4). Summer camp registration will be billed through the FISD online school fees account. The entry fee will not be active for a few weeks after filling out the registration form.
The payment window will be open in OnlineSchoolFees from April 20-May 4.

Please note that your registration is not complete until payment has been received through OnlineSchoolFees in the payment window. End of day on May 4th is a hard deadline to submit payment for the camp.
