The Role of Pink Student Ambassador
Are you interested in helping others in our school and community? Would you like to work towards making our school a better place? If so, you are perfect for Student Ambassador! Student Ambassadors is an organization of students who work towards improving their school and community.
Student Ambassadors are made up of representatives from each 5th grade classroom. The Student Ambassadors will meet once monthly to coordinate school and community projects.
Student Ambassadors Qualities
Exhibit a positive attitude and work well with others.
Enjoy serving others and have a desire to represent their class and Pink community in a positive way.
Exemplify what it means to Think PINK and be a good role model.
What an Ambassador Does
Records videos for GMP
Participates and organizes service projects
Shows new students around the campus
Leadership at events (Kindergarten Orientation, etc.)
Assist with leading Morning Meetings in classrooms (no more than 1 time every two weeks for 15-20 minutes)
Promoting school special events
Being a role model to all students (Pre-K - 5th grade) by promoting a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements
$35 team fee
Attend team meetings once a month from 3:10-4:00pm (dates to be communicated)
Maintain good citizenship grades (S in citizenship, no office referrals)
Maintain good school attendance (few absences and tardies)
Committed to meeting before, during, and after school to assist with after school events. (Events and dates to be communicated.)
Application Steps
LATE SUBMISSIONS OF EITHER STEP ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
Complete 2 steps no later than October 13th at 3:00pm:
Completed parent acknowledgement and consent page (turned in one of the two ways)
-The YELLOW sheet from the information packet turned in to the receptionist, Mrs. Downs in the front office.
-Emailed to Mrs. Dragoslavic at dragoslavic@friscoisd.org.
How Ambassadors are Selected
Voting will occur on October 16th-17th by the students’ 5th grade teacher(s), LAMP teachers, and administrative staff for students that have completed both steps.
Voting results [2 students from each homeroom] will be shared by the end of the day on Friday, October 20th.
Group Communication
To conserve paper and improve efficiency, most communications will be electronic.

NOTE: This group text message list is open to all ambassadors and their families. The list of members and numbers is only visible to Mrs. Dragoslavic & Mrs. Davis. Group text messages will be sent to remind students and parents of important details, new information, or possible changes as they arise.
Cost
The cost to join is $35 paid through OnlineSchoolPayments (at a later date).
This money goes towards the cost of the team t-shirt for the year as well as towards other necessities as they arise.
The team fee is non-refundable. The team t-shirt is to be worn on meeting days and events.
