Library Hours-
Monday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m.
In the case of afterschool meetings or activities, students should be accompanied by a parent or guardian after 2:55 p.m., because Mrs. Urban is often on afterschool duty. Thank YOU!
Book Borrowing/Check-Outs-
How many books can students check out?
Kinder: 1 book per week
1st grade: 1 book per week, until students learn their library number [lunch number], then 2 books per week
2nd grade: 3 books, if student knows their library number
3rd grade/4th grade/5th grade: 3 books
How long can I check a book out?
Kinder- 2nd grade will have library visits each week, and are expected to return their book each week, however, they will have two weeks until it is overdue.
3rd grade- 5th grade- will visit the library every two weeks.
If students wish to keep a book longer, they may renew it at any time using their library account.
If students do not renew an item, the automation system will send overdue emails!
Pro Tips-
Students may check out the maximum number of books for their grade level, or just one at a time. If you wish to check out more than the maximum number, chat with Mrs. Urban!
Please return our school library books to Scott Elementary. Returning Scott library books to the public library delays the books or sometimes they are lost.
Scott library books will always have a Scott or FISD barcode on the back cover and an address label inside the front cover.
