We sent home our homework folders this past Thursday! Please see below for more information and check the Optional Extra Practice tab under Resources on our website for digital copies for the week and answer keys! 

In Frisco ISD, the purpose of homework in elementary school is to reinforce classroom learning, help students develop good study habits and time management skills, and create a channel for communication between teachers and families. Although homework is not graded, it can serve as an opportunity to strengthen learning and independence.

Families can support student success by:

• Encouraging completion of homework.

• Helping students build strong study habits and routines.

• Communicating with the teacher when specific needs or concerns arise.

We value a balanced approach that prioritizes student well-being, allowing time for family and extracurricular activities, while still offering opportunities to apply learning at home.

This school year in fourth grade, you can expect homework to…

• Include math, reading, and science

• Be assigned each Thursday

• Be returned the following Wednesday

• Homework can be found in your child’s yellow folder. Please return the yellow folder with completed homework by Wednesday each week.
