CLUSTER 1: PLACE VALUE, ADDITION & SUBTRACTION OF WHOLE NUMBERS
Duration: August 13 - October 3
In this cluster, students will be taking a closer look at representation and comparison of whole numbers. Students will also continue to explore models of addition and subtraction of whole numbers and begin to become fluent in their strategies used during addition and subtraction of whole numbers. Students will also apply their skills in addition and subtraction to find the perimeter of polygons within problems.
ESSENTIAL STANDARD:
TEKS 3.5(A) represent one- and two-step problems involving addition and subtraction of whole numbers to 1,000 using pictorial models, number lines, and equations
