Mrs. Byrd

My name is Kristi Byrd, and I'm thrilled to be returning to the 3rd grade team at Allen! I absolutely LOVE working with kids. I have previously taught 2nd and 3rd grades. This will be my 2nd year at Allen.

I received my B.A. from Texas A&M University (Whoop!) and my teaching certificate from the University of Texas at Arlington. I'm certified to teach 1st–8th grades, GT trained, and ESL certified. I also have experience and training in the International Baccalaureate programme. 

I am married to my best friend, Phillip.  We have four beautiful daughters, a wonderful son-in-law, and a precious granddaughter. 

I enjoy reading, cooking, movies, podcasts, music, and learning new things. 

It is a privilege and a joy to be a teacher! I'm looking forward to a fun year of laughter and learning.
