Week 2

Here are the highlights from this week!

1) We introduced #BookSnaps as a tool as we looked closely at the this Newbery criteria (modified for our 4th graders): Did the author’s writing keep me interested with unique elements and interesting language? Over the next week, the goal is for students to make three BookSnaps on awesome writers' tools while listening to our read aloud, One Crazy Summer. We will look closely at another modified Newbery criteria next week.

2) Our librarian, John Scott, gave a book talk on our Newbery short list. Here are the slides.
