Read a book of choice and/or listen to books being read aloud for at least 60 minutes a day. Then complete a book response or short response using CLEAR. You can make up your own or choose from one of the activities below!

Students should be engaging in writing activities for 45-60 minutes a day.

This can include:

• Responding to a book

• Writing a story about one time in your life.

• Writing a “teaching book” about a topic you know a lot about.

• Writing an opinion piece, sharing your opinion about something and why you feel that way

Students should feel free to write on any paper of choice. Below are some helpful resources to support the writing process.
