The mission of the Freeport High School counseling program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career and personal/social development of all of our students.

School counselors are professional advocates who provide direction and guidance to maximize student potential, academic achievement and post secondary success.

Our goal is to provide the resources for students to:

Acquire attitudes, knowledge, and skills that contribute to effective learning in school and across their lifespan.  To cultivate and instill skills of critical thinking, communication, creativity, problem solving, perseverance, collaboration and digital literacy.

 Acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and interpersonal skills to help them understand and respect themselves and others, and become  active listeners, team players and leaders.
