"Why do the Band and Guard have so many fundraisers?" The Band Boosters hear this a lot. It may not be obvious as to why, especially when students pay a yearly Fair Share Fee.
There are many events and opportunities during the course of the year that the school district does not cover and our Fair Share cannot stretch far enough to cover. Think of the many opportunities to compete in band and guard competitions, the professional clinicians the students get to work with and the trips, meals, and extra equipment and supplies needed for the students throughout the year. This award-winning band and guard program depends on these fundraisers for all of this and more.
Please participate in each fundraiser by spreading the word, purchasing items, and encouraging the students. We appreciate all you do as Band and Guard families, every single day!
Each year the adults with disabilities from Brookwood Community raise and sell beautiful poinsettia plants to raise money for the program. We partner with them to sell them to our Freeman family and earn money for the Band and Guard programs, too. Click here to learn more.
