Data collection 2-3 times a year on all students to assess academics, social-emotional learning and mental health. Staff reviews this data following each administration to determine which students need additional diagnostics or added interventions and support.

Assessment tools that allow staff to dig deeper into the data collected from the universal screeners to identify targeted and intensive supports that may need to be in place for academic, behavioral, social emotional and mental health reasons.
Once interventions have been selected, progress monitoring on these interventions will be utilized to determine the success of the intervention. Progress monitoring data will be collected for 3-6 weeks before data is reviewed to determine the success of the intervention.

Freeland Community School District has a consistent teacher referral system across the district to ensure that teachers, students, administrators and families are receiving accurate data on behavioral concerns in classrooms and shared spaces in the building.
Minor Classroom Referrals will utilize the SWIS platform for teacher referrals
Major Behavior Referrals that result in administrative intervention will utilize the Skyward Student Information System (SIS) Discipline Tab for behavior and discipline
