In Kindergarten, we use the Bridges in Mathematics program. This program is closely aligned to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, in a manner that is rigorous, coherent, engaging, and accessible to all learners. We cover the following math topics:
Rote counting to 110
Number identification in isolation (0-31)
Relating a set of objects to a number
Understanding comparisons - less, more, same
Recognizing, creating, and extending patterns
Understanding simple graphs
Utilizing the calendar as a real world tool
Understanding comparisons of size (smaller, larger, shorter, taller)
Sorting and classifying objects by their attributes
Identifying 2D & 3D shapes
Understanding the concept of addition and subtraction
