Connect, Respect, and Affirm (The Highly Effective Restorative Educator)
I have been in the role of Supervisor of Equity & Inclusion for four years. I have worked in Franklin Township Public Schools for 16 years, as a classroom teacher, Dean of Students, and Vice Principal. Two recent accomplishments I am proud of are collaborating with our Equity Leaders to increase the Culturally Responsive Self-Efficacy of our staff to 66%, up from. 34%. Also, collaborating with our Restorative Practices Core Team to build the capacity of over 20 Restorative Practices Trainers across the district. I love to attend music concerts and comedy shows.
Connect, Respect, and Affirm (The Highly Effective Restorative Educator)
I have been employed by Franklin Township Public Schools for 34 years! Currently, I am the HSC Reset Room Coordinator and District Restorative Practices Trainer. My ambition has been to assist in the transformation of schools that implement individual Restorative Practices, to unified and fully Restorative Schools. Over the years I have become passionate about understanding and meeting individual needs, so last year I started the 1st Adaptive Girl Scout Troop in Franklin Township where girls with physical and developmental disabilities have a safe space to fully engage in activities, learn new skills and build friendships. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing games, and spending time with friends and family.
Building Community Through Ensemble
I have been the Theatre Arts teacher at Franklin Middle School at Hamilton Street Campus for the last 7 years. I recently competed in my first powerlifting meet and will be competing in my second in September. My favorite musical theatre composer is Stephen Sondheim, and my first tattoo is inspired by a musical he wrote.

UNITE PD Pathways Team
I am the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction, and I have been in the district for nine years. I am most proud of supporting the various initiatives our super talented staff members have created that support student learning across the K-12 spectrum, including engaging morning clubs, exposure to international teachers in the World Languages and ESL programs, and a robust menu of course electives, such as Aviation and Advanced Placement courses that speak to students' passions and career interests. A fun fact about myself that probably is no longer a secret is that I am a former Teacher of English who has a deep interest in the poetry and modeling of civic engagement embodied in the career of Bruce Springsteen.

Productive Struggle & Math Identity
I have proudly served in the district for 15 years, starting my career as a 5th grade Math teacher for 11 years before moving into my current role as Math Coach, now in my fourth year. I was honored to be named the Governor’s Educational Specialist of the Year for the 2023–2024 school year, a recognition that means so much to me. At Elizabeth Avenue School, I’ve introduced exciting initiatives like Mathematician of the Month and Drop Everything and Math! to spark curiosity and build a positive math culture. Outside of school, I love to read—some of my favorite authors are Abby Jimenez and Carly Fortune! I also enjoy cooking and baking in addition to exploring pizza places all over New Jersey!

Responsive Small Group Instruction for Self-Contained Students
I currently am a special education instructional coach for staff and students in grades 6 through 12, across both FMS campuses and FHS. I have been in the district since 2013, and served as Vice Principal of EAS and FPS, as well as Supervisor of PPS for grades Pk - 5. I am pursuing my real estate license and I want to become a Special Education Advocate in the next 5 - 10 years. A fun fact about myself would have to relate to my ten year old son; we travel across the state - and the country - hunting down carnivals and amusement parks. We are trying to visit every one of the 50 states before he turns 18.
