Your grades build your GPA, which begins calculating at the moment the first grade is entered into IC!  GPA stands for Grade Point Average.  The GPA you earn for the 4 quarters of Freshman year will average into your total Freshman year GPA, which also will average into your total High School GPA when you graduate.  Did you know that by having 4 Fs on your transcript means you won't be able to get your Driver's Permit?  The grades you are earning now really do matter!

Students who don't attend school are at a higher risk of earning failing grades, having to repeat high school courses, dropping out of high school, and experiencing stress in college and careers.  Did you know that by having 9 unexcused absences on your transcript means you won't be able to get your Driver's Permit?  Your attendance at school really does matter!
