Week 8 - things I can finish:
Finish all problems on the 'when one number is near 100' sheet (it talks about Marcel and Susan on it). Just do question 1 and 2, as we haven't learned about question 3 yet.
Finish any place value/split strategy tasks - fix any with a dot.
What we have been working on:
We have done lots of work on rounding and compensating for numbers that are close to 100 by taking some off and putting some on. This is an efficient way to solve problems if one number is close to 100. We have consolidated our place value strategies for addition and subtraction, including when the numbers we are subtracting mean we have to take off all the ones together and all the tens together (because the ones we are taking off are larger than the ones in the total).
Week 6
Create your own google drawing explaining how to find the number one after a number up to 1,000,000
