Week 8 - things I can finish:

What we have been working on:

We are able to find pairs to ten, and compatible numbers (numbers that can cancel eachother out) in equations. We can add in parts when going through tens, and numbers lines are very helpful here.

We are able to use place value to problem solve in addition and subtraction questions, and are getting better at applying this to word problems. We are recognising language in word problems that tells us if we need to add or subtract.

We are starting to learn how to use simple rounding and compensating, which means if we need to add or subtract numbers ending in 9, we can use our tens and then compensate with 1.

One number after up to 1000

Complete these activities to practice your number knowledge.

Write the answers out to the questions in your maths book. Make sure you number your questions.
