I wrote this narrative essay because I felt as though it was a moment in my life which changed my view on certain elements of my daily life. Also, I felt as though this was a moment more then one person could relate to. I think that this moment in my life was a turning point and helped me grow up.

I work this essay about a symbol in Joy Luck Club which was very important to the novel. I wrote about the shattering of a vase on a table. This small element of the story was important to symbolizing the bigger picture of marriages in the Joy Luck Club.
